  11.   Thank you for downloading ProxiWeb 3.5. ProxiWeb is a full-
  12.   featured web browser for handheld computers.

  14.   This README file is provided to give you a brief introduction
  15.   to the features available in ProxiWeb and to offer you some
  16.   hints on installing ProxiWeb.

  32.   Hardware Configuration
  33.   ======================
  34.   ProxiWeb 3.5 is required if you have the following devices. Earlier
  35.   versions of ProxiWeb will not work properly.

  37.     Palm IIIx, IIIe
  38.     Palm Vx
  39.     Palm VII
  40.   
  41.   ProxiWeb 3.5 is compatible with these earlier Palm Pilot devices.

  46.   ProxiWeb 3.5 is *NOT* compatible with the following models:

  48.     Palm 1000
  49.     Palm 5000
  50.     Palm Pilot II
  51.     Palm Pilot Personal
  52.     Palm Pilot Professional

  54.     [Note: A Palm Professional with a Synapse Pager Card upgrade or
  55.            an upgraded to a 3.x ROM will work with ProxiWeb 3.5.]

  57.   OBTAINING A SECURITY PROFILE (IMPORTANT!)
  58.   =========================================
  59.   To use the Cookies and security features, you must first register
  60.   for a free ProxiWeb Security Profile. To do this, use a desktop
  61.   web browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
  62.   Navigator) to visit
  63.   
  64.      https://www.proxinet.com/cgi-bin/downloadform.cgi
  65.   
  66.   After creating your ProxiNet Security Profile you must enter the
  67.   username and password in ProxiWeb.
  68.   
  69.   Run ProxiWeb and select the 'Menu' button located next to the
  70.   Graffiti area on the Pilot.  Next, tap 'Prefs' in the pulldown
  71.   menu bar and then select 'Security...' .  Enter the username and
  72.   password into the fields provided.  The ProxiWeb software has now
  73.   been enabled to use Cookies and SSL secure connections.

  77.   To access Web content, ProxiWeb requires Internet access to your
  78.   Palm Pilot. Palm Computing sells dial-up modems. Other vendors
  79.   sell wireless modems, and cellular phone manufactures sell phones
  80.   capable of delivering digital data. ISPs and Wireless Service
  81.   Providers offer Internet access. Check your local ISP to find out
  82.   what services are available in your area.
